How to make Turkish yörük kebab?

Turkish Yörük kebab recipe is one of the favorite meat dishes of Antalya. The most important feature that distinguishes this kebab from its counterparts is the addition of noodles. If you want to try the Antalya style Yörük kebab at your home, you can find its ingredients and steps below.

Ingredients for making yörük kebab
  • 1 kilogram of lamb cubed
  • 500 grams of shallots
  • 2 zucchinis
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 potato
  • 250 grams of green beans
  • 2 cups of noodles
  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 2 coffee cups olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
Turkish Yörük kebab recipe How to make it?

1-Peel the onions and set aside.

2-Heat the butter and olive oil in the pan and add the meat and onions.

3-Take the onions from the saucepan after the meats are roasted until they release.

4-Add 1 cup of hot water to the meat and cook until soft over low heat.

5-Meanwhile, peel carrots, zucchini and potatoes and cut into cubes.

6-Extract the beans.

7-Add vegetables and shallots to the pan close to cooking the meat.

8-Add 1 cup of hot water and leave to cook until the vegetables are tender.

9-When the vegetables are also cooked, add the noodles and cook for a few more minutes, then remove from the stove.

10-If you wish your meal with boiled peas, thyme, cumin, bay leaf, you can also add spices like black pepper.
