Ingredients

  • 2 tea cups Red Lentils
  • 3 tablespoons Rice
  • 2 tablespoons Bulgur
  • 1 piece Nectarine
  • 1 teaspoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 6 cups Hot water
  • 1 teaspoon Mint
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

For Service

  • 1/2 piece Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Chili peppers

Instructions

  • Boil the hot water in a large saucepan. Wash and drain the 2 cups of tea red lentils transfer to the pot.

  • Cook for about 35 minutes until the red lentils soften.
  • Melt 1 tbsp butter in a separate pan.
  • Add 1 cubed chopped onion and start to roast.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of tomato paste to the onions.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of mint and fry for 2 more minutes.
  • Take your roasted sauce from the stove.
  • Add the onion mixture with roasted tomato paste to the pan where you boil the pulses.
  • Then cook the soup for 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot with the addition of lemon juice and chili peppers. Enjoy your meal!
